Byte Craft Limited produce specialist development systems for the more unusual breeds of processors. They have a particular
Speciality in the Freescale eTPU core, which is bundled in their MPC555x range of PowerPC devices. This
device is a specialised, on silicon "co-processor" for handling high bandwidth realtime signal response. The Byte Craft
compiler provides a C language interface to the eTPU native Micro-code. Thus enabling much greater return on
effort invested in development. The easiest and most accurate comparison would be to consider writing a complex
timer and multi-edged signal related ISR in assembler, versus C. The eTPU core enables response times in excess of
